How to: The Fifteen Puzzle

I got this nifty little puzzle yesterday while I was out searching for a Rubik’s UFO.. it is very easy but I figured I would show people how to do it anyways. I am self taught with logic, but someone probably beat me to this method, so I guess I probably can’t take credit for it. = ) Wow! This tutorial, considering it was my first and that no one cares about this puzzle, has done quite well. This was the original stepping stone that got me into making tutorials in the first place… I didn’t know enough about Rubik’s Cube to make a convincing tutorial, so I thought I would play it safe and make this instead. I went over the video and added annotations which highlight the working areas during the solve! Hopefully that makes the explanation even more obvious than it already is! To aspiring puzzle masters: Mastering this particular puzzle is a freebie! Learn it quick and conquer the next challenge, the Rubik’s Cube! How to assemble a 4×4 (Rubik’s & Eastsheen)

While I’m on the topic of 4×4 puzzles, I wanted to make a disassembly/re-assembly guide, so I don’t have to come back and do it later. I hope this video satisfies everyone’s needs! Here’s a link to my tutorial on how to actually solve this puzzle: www.youtube.com Here’s some information and links: The Rubik’s 4×4 has 55 pieces. 1 core, 8 corners, 24 center corners, and 24 edges. Just in case you lose one, you’ll know what you’re looking for. :) If you’re a clumsy 9 year old, don’t take it apart at your computer! Find a big empty spot of carpet to do it on so you don’t lose pieces! If you do manage lose or break a piece on the Rubik’s 4×4, and you just can’t seem to find it, you can order specific replacement parts from this site: cubesmith.com This is also the best place to get replacement stickers or tiles which will fit both the Rubik’s and Eastsheen brand of 4×4 cube. The Eastsheen 4×4 has 129 pieces, including screws and caps, ect. Be VERY careful when handling a partially disassembled Eastsheen 4×4, because otherwise you WILL lose some pieces forever. I recommend putting all the pieces in a popcorn tub or something, so that there’s less chance of losing one. I don’t know of a site to order specific replacement pieces for the Eastsheen 4×4. You can order a new one at: www.e-sheen.com or www.cube4you.com They arn’t very expensive. Also, replacement stickers from Cubesmith will fit Eastsheen puzzles (Except the 2×2). If the stickers are peeling, Cubesmith is always your
