www.futurelooks.com – Futurelooks caught up with OCZ at CES 2010 to see what they had coming up for us this year. Just curious,
Anyone try using one of these OCZ Z drives with Xenserver? Specifically in use with the provisioning server to push the VMs to?

Nice. Just finished testing the 1TB R2 version using SQLIO. 2 Threads screams but is a bit slower than the advertised speeds. 4 Threads is still fast. 8 Threads, read is still good @~1GB/s, write performance chokes 300-400MB/s. 16 Threads read performance is ~800MB/s, write is at ~200MB/s.

    they should be called sssd
    solid state storage devices
because they contain neither a disk nor a drive

  7. Maxaker67 says:

I will not pay more than…200€ for a 1TB SSD.

There just capitalizing on the opportunity to charge huge cash on their shit.
Like back in the day you could get 8gig harddrives for $200 now you get a TB for a $100

Ram used to cost $50 for 4 gigs now it costs $100 what the hell is that? I swear it caused the economy to crash.
